Meet the maker:

A recent graduate from Nottingham Trent University with an ever-expanding surface design portfolio, Nikkita Palmer has set up a business with her partner Billy Barker, creating bespoke furniture and homewares from reclaimed materials for domestic and commercial interiors.

You will need:

• Scaffold board
• Large flat-head screwdriver
• Pencil
• Combination square
• Handsaw
• Tape measure
• Sandpaper (medium grit)
• Masking tape
• Vintage Rocks Blackout Liquid Kohl
• Paint brush
• Cupboard door handles and screws
• Wire wool
• Rust-Oleum copper spray paint
• Uulki 2 in 1 Oil & Wax (see note, on page 50)
• Wax brush or cloth
• Screwdriver
• Metal label tag (optional)
