A new perspective

Another Life
Visit the Craft Centre in Leeds during April, May and June, to be inspired by the work of some fantastic upcycling artists.
This spring, the Craft Centre in Leeds is hosting an exhibition entitled Another Life, which is running until 25 June. This show promises to be a visual masterpiece, where you can discover some truly inspirational work from individual artists and makers who specialise in recycling and reinventing their chosen materials.
On show will be works from brilliant artists, including Bryony Rose, who is sharing some of her textile menagerie, created from reclaimed fabric, which she then manipulates
into magical animal forms that ooze personality; Isobel Cortese, showing the larger world her unique and curious miniature scenes which have been created in bottles, teacups and even
compact mirrors; and Jennifer Collier, displaying a collection of her paper
creations which have been formed, folded, stitched and manipulated from reclaimed paper, be it books or maps.
To find out more details and a get taste of what to expect (or if Leeds is too far away to visit), take look at the website at www.craftcentre.leeds.co.uk to view some works and biographies of the exhibitors involved.
